What should we wear to ride horses?


     -CLOSED TOE SHOES are REQUIRED (no sandals, flip flops and NO HIGH HEELS). We highly recommend long pants to protect your legs from passing vegetation. 


What are we allowed to bring with us on the horses?


     -We have very limited room in our saddle bags.  We can fit your keys, cell phones and wallets only.  It is highly recommended that you bring a bottle of water for the saddle bag. Ladies, please leave your purses in the trunk of your vehicles as purses can spook the horses or get caught on the saddles or passing vegetation etc.  Riders wishing to wear backpacks and take cameras do so at their own risk.  Saddle Up Wine Tours cannot be held liable for any damage or loss of your personal belongings or equipment. 


Are helmets provided or required?


     -Riders under the age of 18 years old are REQUIRED to wear a helmet.  Helmets are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for all riders. We have a variety of helmets to choose from. 


Do you have a weight limit?


     -While we do not have a weight limit per se, we do collect all riders' heights and weights to best match up a saddle and horses to best suit our clients' needs. There is a limit to how many higher weight riders we can service at one time as well as per day and per week.  We must rotate and rest our horses for their well being to prevent overuse injuries.


Where do we meet you for our ride?


     -We have TWO DIFFERENT LOCATIONS!  Our wine tours meet at Leoness Cellars in Temecula Wine Country.  All other services meet at our ranch.  Please see our CONTACT US PAGE for our LOCATIONS, ADDRESSES and DIRECTIONS.  Please READ YOUR CONFIRMATION EMAIL for YOUR TOUR'S LOCATION, ADDRESS and DIRECTIONS. 


What is your cancellation policy?


     -Cancellations are especially difficult on a small business in this industry.  Its not like a restaurant where there are ample walk-ins to replace the lost income.  Additionally, other clients who called in to make a reservation during the time you reserved were turned away and cannot be scheduled last minute in your place.  Therefore we require cancellations outside of 48 HOURS.  Cancellations will be refunded minus a $50 cancellation fee.  Cancellations within 48 HOURS are not refundable and must be rescheduled.  NO SHOWS are NOT REFUNDED and must pay a $75 re-booking fee.  In the event your tour is cancelled due to inclement weather, we do not offer refunds as we cannot control the weather. We are happy to reschedule you at our earliest availability.
